We collect only the minimum necessary information to provide you with clinical services, appointment scheduling, and a personalized, secure user experience. This includes:

  • Personal Identification & Contact Data: Full name, phone number, email address, gender, and date of birth or age.
  • Account Credentials & Identifiers: Username, securely hashed passwords, and authentication tokens.
  • Medical & Clinical Data: Appointment booking history, preferred medical specialties, consultation records, symptoms and inquiries submitted voluntarily by the patient, uploaded medical test reports/files, treatment progress notes, and medical prescriptions.
  • Clinical Media & Photos (Optional): Pre-and-post procedure photos or media submitted voluntarily by the patient for clinical evaluation and follow-up.
  • Device & Technical Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, IP address, push notification tokens (used strictly for appointment alerts and medical reminders), and crash/diagnostic logs to monitor application performance and stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal and medical information exclusively for the following medical, operational, and administrative purposes:

  • Appointment Scheduling & Management: Booking, confirming, rescheduling, and organizing your consultations and clinical procedures.
  • Patient Care & Post-Procedure Follow-Up: Enabling Dr. Helmy Soliman and authorized medical staff to review your medical history, monitor recovery progress, and provide tailored clinical instructions.
  • Patient Notifications & Communication: Sending real-time appointment confirmations, reminders, pre-and-post operative guidelines, and critical service notifications via push notifications, SMS, or email.
  • App Security & Performance: Diagnosing technical glitches, ensuring system reliability, authenticating user access, and safeguarding against unauthorized access or fraud.
  • Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Complying with healthcare record-keeping standards, statutory retention duties, and official healthcare legal requirements.

3. Data Retention Policy

In compliance with Google Play User Data policies and healthcare regulatory standards, our data retention practices are clearly defined as follows:

  • Active User Account Data: We retain your profile information, contact numbers, and credentials for as long as your account remains active and in use.
  • Medical & Clinical Records: In accordance with statutory healthcare regulations and patient safety standards, patient medical files, treatment records, and appointment histories are retained for a period of 5 to 10 years (or the period required by local health legislation) to ensure clinical continuity and fulfill legal health archiving obligations.
  • Technical Logs & Analytics: Server logs, crash telemetry, and diagnostic analytics are stored temporarily for a maximum period of 12 to 24 months, after which they are permanently deleted or fully anonymized.
  • Data Retention upon Deletion Request: When you submit an account or data deletion request, personal identifying data and non-medical files will be permanently deleted or anonymized from active databases within 30 days, preserving only statutory medical records where retention is explicitly required by healthcare laws.

4. Data Deletion & Account Erasure Policy

You have the complete right to request the deletion of your personal data and the closure of your account at any time through any of the following methods:

    • Open the Dr. Helmy Soliman app and log in.
    • Go to Profile.
    • Open Settings and tap Delete Account.
    • Confirm the prompt. Your account and personal data will be permanently scheduled for immediate deletion from our active systems.

All personal credentials, profile data, and user uploads will be permanently removed from active systems within 30 days of receiving the verified request.

5. Data Security & Safeguards

  • Full data encryption in transit across all endpoints using standard HTTPS and TLS 1.3 protocols.

We never sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal or medical data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Data is only shared in the following limited, essential circumstances:

  • All photos and clinical media uploaded or taken during treatment are strictly confidential medical records.
  • No patient photos or videos will ever be published, displayed for educational purposes, or shared publicly without explicit, written, informed consent from the patient.
  • Patients have the right to revoke consent for promotional/educational media usage at any time by contacting clinic management.

8. Children's Privacy

Our mobile application and clinical services are not intended for unsupervised use by children under the age of 13. Accounts and appointments for minors must be created and managed under the direct supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Under applicable data protection regulations, you have the right to:

  • Access and review the personal and medical records we hold regarding you.
  • Request correction or updating of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data as detailed in Section 4.
